After some major political reforms in the Russian Federation, a new Prime Minister was chosen who recently came out with a speech detailing his strategy for the coming years of his term. Mikhail MISHUSTIN promised that the Russian government will start working on a digital platform to enhance the retail and institutional service organizations in the country.

He also emphasized that all of these changes need to be made for the benefit of the people, thus adding some political points to himself during the speech. The changes were made after the president, Vladimir PUTIN announced some constitutional changes coming to Russia, mainly in terms of how many privileges will be transferred to the State Duma.

The country has failed on multiple occasions to create a comprehensive crypto regulatory framework in the past, despite having a direct order from the president. In recent months the country also announced that it will start policing the digital economy on a much more focused level, which could be the reason why the new government wants to focus on developing it so extensively.

Regardless of what the government is going to do, it’s obvious that the Russian crypto landscape needs some serious work as most investors are relying on outside sources such as crypto exchanges to conduct their daily blockchain business.
