Ripple’s Ryan Zagone to join the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force Steering Committee
One of the high-ranking managers of Ripple has become a member of a task force responsible for faster payments with close ties to the United States Federal Reserve. While this Steering Committee consists of several hundreds of participants, Ryan Zagone will represent 90 payment firms, as reported by AMBCrypto.
Naturally, both Ripple Labs and Mr. Zagone himself expressed full satisfaction in this turn of events. The latter vowed not to fail the non-banking organizations he now represents.
Another high-ranking member of the same company has been a member of the Global Board of SWIFT from 2010 to 2016 which is directly confirmed on the official website of the company. This might explain the fact why Asian banks and traditional companies (e.g. Currencies Direct) were ready to cooperate with a cryptocurrency company instead of showing it the door.
Despite all successful negotiations, Ripple’s expansion is visibly more difficult when talking about the market of America. Recently it became known that the representatives of the company held talks with Coinbase and offered it millions, but the largest American crypto brokerage eventually refused to list the XRP coin in order not to receive complaints from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
