Polkadot Was The Most Popular Altcoin In The Fourth Quarter Of Last Year

Polkadot is the largest cryptocurrency held by venture capital and hedge funds in the fourth quarter of 2021. According to Messari’s fund analysis, about 42% of venture capital and hedge funds investing in cryptocurrencies have bet on the success of Polkadot smart contract platform.

Polkadot was the most popular altcoin in the fourth quarter of last year, as 24 out of 57 tracked funds invested in it. After Polkadot, Oasis Network (ROSE) and Near Protocol (NEAR) were the most used assets among VCs and hedge funds.

Polkadot is currently the 11th largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of $18.7 bln and is trading at $18.36 at the time of writing – more than half of its all-time high price of $54.98 reached in November last year.
