OpenSea Plans Integration of Solana-Based NFT in April

NFT traders will be able to buy and sell Solana-based NFTs on the OpenSea platform starting next month. This was hinted by the firm in a promotional video posted on Twitter. The exact date of integration is still unknown. Solana will be the fourth blockchain that OpenSea will support after Ethereum, Polygon and Klatyn.

Nyan Heroes NFT collection will be one of the first to be integrated. Turtles will also appear on the marketplace in April. OpenSea ranks second in the ranking of the largest NFT platforms in terms of trading volume, leading in terms of the number of traders.

Earlier this year, the OpenSea platform raised $300 mln from Paradigm and Coatue at a $13 bln valuation. In February, OpenSea launched its own venture program with the idea of investing in startups and projects within the NFT ecosystem. Social and gaming projects are also included in the competence of the venture division.
