New Leaders in the Latest Weiss Rating

The Weiss Rating Agency has published its latest cryptocurrency rating with some unexpected updates on the list. Tezos (XTZ) and Cardano (ADA) took first place in the Technology category, followed by Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and IOTA (MIOTA). Weiss specialists regularly evaluate cryptocurrencies based on various criteria and released the latest rating on April 21.

Tezos (XTZ) is a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network that the team calls “self-amending” because it can perform hard forks without disrupting the network. Cardano (ADA), Cosmos (ATOM) and Fantom (FTM) were also rated “excellent” in the Technology criterion. However, in the ranking of the largest currencies by market capitalization, Cardano and Cosmos currently take 15 and 24 places. Fantom (FTM) capitalization is less than $ 6 mln. The largest cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) received a mark "good" in terms of Technology.

Many in the crypto community often criticize and question ratings. Weiss, in turn, replies that the ratings depend on the development of the projects themselves and they are subject to change.
