Litecoin Flips Ethereum In Terms Of Address Activity

Analyst firm Santiment reported that Litecoin surpassed the second largest Ethereum blockchain in terms of the number of active addresses. Daily active addresses reached 600,000, which is a phenomenal indicator. At the same time, it is noted that, unlike Ethereum, Litecoin does not use the support of DeFi or NFT, which is associated with the activity of the addresses.

Santiment tweeted that the 15th largest LTC blockchain has surpassed DeFi and NFT platform's largest token, ETH, by active wallets. Santiment analysts believe Ethereum's activity on the network could come under pressure due to the current high fees.

It is worth noting that in addition to the activity of the addresses, it did not reflect much at the price of LTC. Litecoin (LTC) did not show a remarkable growth and continues to repeat the general dynamics of the crypto market, trading at the level of $178.38 and with market capitalization of $11.7 mln at the time of writing.
