Yang Jun, co-founder of the Chinese service called Meituan, will cooperate with founder of Kuaidi Dache Weixing Chen to establish a new blockchain-based application similar to Uber. As he said, this may test the actual capabilities of this technology when applied to social communications.

Blockchain supporters like to mention how this solution can change society, but as far as the public has seen, such platforms can reduce operational costs in shipment traffic and identify people very well. As for communications, the progress is visibly slower in this regard.

Kuaidi has merged with Didi Dache and thus became the biggest ride hailing service in China. The financial capabilities of this company co-founder Weixing Chen can allow to conduct blockchain studies even with the negative results. As the regional press notes, both businessmen have already been seen supportive of blockchain technologies.

The digital market of China has lost several beneficial opportunities after the ban of ICOs and crypto exchanges, but blockchain technologies were praised even by the government of China, including the People’s Bank.
