KFC and Pizza Hut Register Metaverse and NFT-Related Trademarks

Major companies are showing interest in NFTs and the metaverse. This time we will talk about the giants of the food industry. Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell have applied for NFT trademarks. It's worth noting that this comes weeks after rival chain McDonald's decided to take a similar step.

In mid-February, McDonald's filed 10 trademark applications related to the metaverse. Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell also did not want to stay away. Therefore, representatives have filed trademark applications related to NFTs, as well as products and services that may be offered in the future in digital worlds.

Trademark attorney Mike KONDOUDIS revealed on Twitter that KFC's trademark filings cover the virtual food/drink name and logo, NFTs, virtual stores, and virtual restaurants.
