Gucci and Superplastic To Launch NFT Collection
Italian fashion house Gucci has partnered with digital character brand Superplastic. The partnership plans to launch a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) called SuperGucci. The theme of the collection focuses on the combination of classic Gucci motifs and designs with SuperPlastic Janky&Guggimon digital characters.
A total of 250 NFTs will be minted, which will be issued in three sets. The first set of ten items will be released on February 1st. The digital collectible will be accompanied by an exclusive ceramic figurine handcrafted by Gucci ceramists in Italy.
The partnership also includes a retail store Gucci Vault. It will join the metaverse with a special sale on vintage models in unique packaging. Vault is a conceptual online store that will take you to the past, present and future of the fashion house. The Vault features Gucci vintages, including archival pieces made to order by Alessandro MICHELE, as well as work from emerging designers.
