Digital currency exchange Gemini to open Ether auctions

24 July 2017 21:00, UTC

On 28 July 2017 the digital currency exchange Gemini, backed by Winklevoss twins – Cameron and Tyler – will start to host daily Ether auctions, Coindesk reports.

These auctions will be held on business days at 4:00 PM ET. Indicative cryptocurrency prices will appear on the digital currency exchange website and through market stats API 10 minutes before the start of the auction, updating each minute until the auction ends.

Less than a year ago, in September 2016, Gemini started to host daily Bitcoin auctions and during March 2017 – another daily Bitcoin auction, hosted in East Asian time zone.

The representatives of this digital currency exchange stress their confidence on the official website: the auctions will provide buyers and sellers an equal opportunity of liquid assets realization at transparent prices.
