Dell’s VMWare intends to use blockchain in future projects
As reported by the various media outlets about fintech, Dell has decided to use blockchain in connection with its previously developed cloud technologies. It was only a matter of time, as Oracle, Microsoft and other giant technological corporations have already voiced their intention to work on the blockchain projects and combine them with cloud technologies.
However, it should be specified that it’s the subsidiary firm of Dell, VMWare, who sent the patent to the USPTO. The hybrid blockchain they designed is described in the following terms:
“The token can be transmitted using a blockchain network that is accessible to the first and second computer systems via a public network. The first computer system can then upload the data set to the one or more cloud storage service addresses via the public network, and the second computer system can download the data set from the one or more cloud storage service addresses via the public network.”
As the media reminds, Dell has already filed another patent related distributed ledger (which is a critical component of blockchain) in 2016. This once again confirms the valuability of the USPTO open platform to any fintech enthusiast: one can take a peek on future corporate plans without violating any laws on commercial secrets.
