Citigroup Hires Digital Asset Risk Managers Specializing In Cryptocurrencies, Stablecoins And DeFi

Banking giant Citigroup is hiring digital asset risk managers to focus on cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and decentralized finance, according to a job posting on the firm's website. While this is just one of many open positions focused on digital assets at the company, Citi is one of the first major banks to target decentralized finance.

Citi is currently hiring two digital asset risk managers at the director level. One will specialize in decentralized finance, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies, while the other will focus on CBDC, digital securities, and enterprise blockchain. Both risk managers will have responsibilities that include building a "robust, risk-sensitive and unified view of risk management and response" to initiatives, pilot projects, proof-of-concepts and strategic partnerships.

Recruitment is also underway for several product positions and a platform manager position within the digital assets division of Citi’s Institutional Client Group (ICG). There are also positions related to digital assets in treasury trading solutions and custody technology teams. The flurry of job postings is part of the firm's massive campaign to find fresh crypto talent.
