Cashaa Exchange Suffered From Hackers
The management of the Cashaa crypto exchange reported an attack by hackers. 336 BTC equivalent of over $3.1 mln were stolen from the company's wallet. At the moment, the work of the exchange is suspended, transactions are not conducted.
Representatives of Cashaa report that a hacker or a group of hackers infected the computers on the exchange with malware that issued access codes to the company's wallets. Blockchain.com wallet, which stored the funds of the exchange, was hacked using a remote attack. 336 BTC were brought to an address allegedly registered in Delhi, India. The security service of the exchange reports that hackers made two transactions in order to withdraw funds on the wallet.
On its official Twitter page, the exchange posted the address of the hackers' bitcoin wallet, to which the coins were withdrawn, and turned to all crypto companies and exchanges with a request not to exchange bitcoins and not to sell goods and services to someone who will make transactions from the specified address. However, experts are sure that hackers can use mixers to conduct operations with stolen cryptocurrency.
