Cardano Is Working on Cryptocurrency Chips

Cardano is developing chips for cryptocurrency payments. According to Charles HOSKINSON, Cardano project head, such chips help make crypto payments as simple and affordable as payment in cash.

Hoskinson also notes that such devices could be used not only for payment with cryptocurrencies, but also for authentication of goods. Cryptocurrency chips are also particularly important to those who do not have stable access to the Internet. For example, in Africa, only 2% of the 6 million farmers have smartphones. Thus, online payments are simply unavailable to most of them. Chips, in their turn, will help in solving this problem.

Cardano head also emphasizes that the implementation of the idea will take much time and it is a long-term project. Creating chips and cryptocurrency devices of this kind to become popular and affordable among people also take time. In the future, this will bring significant benefits to both people and the crypto industry itself.
