BTC-e – will it ever come back from the dead?
26 July 2017 21:00, UTC
The BTC-e cryptocurrency exchange, down since 25 July 2017, promises to get back online. For the first time in the last 24 hours, a new message was posted by BTC-e on Twitter, saying that the restoration process might take extra time, from 5 to 10 days.
The users, however, speculate in the tweet replies that Alexander Vinnik, who was detained in Greece the day before, might be the co-owner of this cryptocurrency exchange. The information about this appeared in different media outlets. Because of all this, the number of pessimistic BTC-e clients who kept their funds in cryptocurrency wallets there is expectedly growing.
