Brave Browser Implements Phishing Protection
On September 8, Brave announced that it has strengthened the protection of its same-name browser, thanks to an open source solution from PhishFort. Brave said the firm's software will detect fraud and alert users of suspicious domains.
PhishFort, an anti-phishing company, helps cryptocurrency holders defend against such attacks. In April, PhishFort helped remove 49 extensions to the Google Chrome web browser that were designed to steal crypto assets from hardware and software wallet owners through phishing attacks.
It's worth noting that Brave continues to be a popular web browser for many users in the crypto community thanks to its privacy, ad blocking features, and BAT token rewards. As of September 1, the platform has 18.3 mln monthly active users.
