Bitcoin dies… for the 300th time

06 June 2018 21:00, UTC

Bitcoin is dead for 300th time, as reported by the website following the negative reports about this digital currency which is still considered strange and speculative by the conservative financial analysts and asset management experts.

It was Forbes contributors who buried Bitcoin for the 300th time – in the article regarding the global-scale energy consumption by miners. This has been called an Achilles heel of Bitcoin.

Reporters tell that in 2018, this cryptocurrency has been killed in the media for 62 times, while the last year totals to 118 of such materials. The difference is easily explained by the fact that we are only in June right now and there are more bearish articles yet to come, especially when the digital currency of Satoshi Nakamoto dramatically falls again.

One can say that Bitcoin was practically dead after the Mt Gox disaster – the digital currency has lost its reputation after one of the mainstream exchanges went bankrupt. However, it returned back from the grave several years later and showed extremely positive dynamics in autumn last year. The death was only temporary.
