Bitcoin Core developers mock Roger Ver
When Bitcoin Cash has appeared as a result of a hard fork, there was another legacy chain with the rules of the old protocol applied - even though it was not Bitcoin. First dubbed Bitcoin Clashic (sic), it has initially been called a ‘malicious chain’ by the supporters of the newborn Bitcoin Cash (BCH):
"Approximately 36 hours after the upgrade, a new block has been mined using the old protocol rules. This block 504032 is invalid under the new rules as it uses the old difficulty rules."

Since then, the team behind this altcoin has decided to rename it to ‘Bitcoin Core’. One of the most notable Bitcoin Cash supporters, investor Roger Ver is usually referring to Bitcoin by this title and calls BTC somewhat of a primitive version of Bitcoin Cash.
The rebranding gave the team of Bitcoin Clashic an opportunity to claim that Roger Ver had called their cryptocurrency “a store of value” and other jokes. Meanwhile, the market newcomers will undoubtedly become confused even more. Perhaps this is what creator of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin meant when he noted the current immaturity of the community.
Bitcoin supporters sometimes call Bitcoin Cash ‘BCash’ to highlight their opinion that BCH was not a real Bitcoin. Someone may also steal this title in the future.
While BTC and BCH fans are arguing with each other, the price for Bitcoin transactions has become almost inseparable from Bitcoin Cash when looking at the stats. More on this can be read in a separate report.
