Axie Infinity Is Currently The Largest NFT Market

Axie Infinity is creating a booming economy that has begun to overshadow other finance-oriented protocols. According to DappRadar, Axie Infinity is currently the largest NFT market in cryptocurrency. With 50,000 traders transferring over $80 mln in the last week, Axie has surpassed OpenSea and CryptoPunks.

The growing demand for Axies NFTs required for the game has driven their prices up in the market. Not too long ago, three Axies could be bought for less than $600. To play Axie Infinity, you need at least three Axies to start. Now the same set requires $900 to start playing.

Axie with unusual features is even more expensive. The mystical characters are part of the original NFT party in the game. Last week, the triple mystical Axie was sold for 369 ETH. At the time of this writing, their cost was approximately $820,000. The less rare characters can be purchased for 75 ETH.
