Asia Games 2022 Tickets To Be Issued On Blockchain

To purchase tickets for the 2022 Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, it will be necessary to use blockchain – the organizers of the two-week sporting event will issue tickets using the technology.

According to China News, the game organizers have struck a deal with Alibaba subsidiary Demai, an online-platform. All tickets for the sporting event will be secured using blockchain technology. This helps simplify and efficiently improve the process of check, as well as to solve the problem of counterfeit tickets and their further resale.

Tickets for the games will go on sale in 2021. Tickets for the 2022 Paralympic Asian Games, which will take place a few weeks after the Summer Asian Games, will also be sold using the new blockchain solution.
