Activision Is Considering Integration of NFTs In Its Video Games
American video game company Activision Blizzard plans to explore the possibility of integrating NFT into Call of Duty games. The video game company is reportedly considering using NFTs in its Call of Duty shooter video game.
With the UI update, Infinity Ward plans to personalize Activision accounts to include items such as global calling cards, emblems, avatars and stats, according to industry insider RalphsValve. How exactly NFTs will work in Call of Duty is still unknown. Certain emblems, calling cards, or skins may only be available for purchase with NFTs.
RalphsValve added that integration of NFTs has been under consideration for several months. There is a suggestion that the company may abandon its plans. Due to the flurry of criticism, a number of major companies, including Electronic Arts, have already abandoned the technology.
