About Cosmos

Cosmos is a decentralized network of independent parallel blockchains, each based on BFT consensus algorithms, an ecosystem in which blockchains can scale and interact with each other. ATOM is a native cryptocurrency of the network Cosmos Hub and is used for staking. The network was launched in March 2019. The result goal of the project is to build an Internet of Blockchains (IoB). A number of funds and development teams is behind this project.
