Crystal Rose Pierce has announced that she has joined Akoin’s board of directors.

Akoin is the crypto project of the rapper Akon, and they have just included the tech entrepreneur on their board of directors, with the aim of recruiting useful talent for the project

Crystal has been selected particularly because of her experience

in building blockchain-based communication tools and decentralized applications.

Crystal Rose Pierce is a leading tech entrepreneur and investor who has already been included by Forbes in the Top 10 Women in Blockchain, she is also the founder and CEO of Make Sense Labs.

She has been developing dApps since 2014, leading her company to release the first blockchain-based messenger that supports cryptocurrencies.

However, she is not exclusively involved with blockchain and cryptocurrencies, as she has founded several companies and foundations in many areas of technology and media, including artificial intelligence, IT and mobile.

She also is one of the founders of shEOS, a blockchain node manager and mining network managed by women, and is also director of the philanthropic organization she co-founded, Integro Foundation.

It is thanks to her commitment to philanthropy that she has discovered the benefits of open data initiatives and the positive impact of digital currencies in the development of struggling nations and states.

For this reason, her appointment to the board of directors of Aikon is not surprising, since the goal is to develop a crypto platform and a blockchain ecosystem for the whole of Africa.

Crystal said:

“I’m very excited to be joining as an advisor for Akoin, Their innovative and groundbreaking approach to utilizing blockchain technology in Africa is a glance into the future. I’m enthusiastic about the potential for positive impact across the rising economies of Africa and beyond”.

The president and co-founder of Akoin, Jon Karas, commented:

“Crystal is a fantastic addition to the Akoin board of advisors. Her experience with blockchain communication tools, as well as her huge wealth of experience in the wider blockchain space means she will be a huge asset as an advisor to the team. We’re all looking forward to working alongside her as we strive to deliver the Akoin vision to Africa”.

Another talent recently integrated into the project’s board of directors is influencer Sergio Fernandez de Cordova, with 20 years of experience in advertising, media, telecommunications, and regulation.

The objective of the Akoin project is to provide token owners with access to a wide range of apps and dApps aimed in particular at those entrepreneurs who need to connect, and engage in scaling their business in regions like Africa, with a consequent positive social impact on their communities.
