Crypto exchange BitMEX has partnered with the famous European football club AC Milan to advertise its logo on the sleeves of the club’s official match kits. The length of the deal was not specified, but it will last multiple years, said BitMEX. According to the announcement, the logo will be featured on sleeves for both the men’s and women’s teams and its eSports team AQM.

“BitMEX looks to ramp up brand awareness and increase understanding of crypto.”

BitMEX CEO Alexander Höptner said: “Our partnership with AC Milan is the start of a hugely exciting new chapter for BitMEX as we look to ramp up brand awareness and increase understanding of crypto.” BitMEX is following in the footsteps of several major crypto-sports partnerships in recent weeks. As reported earlier, FTX has been on a spending spree, renaming the Miami Heat Arena to FTX Arena, renaming a professional e-sports team from TSM to TSM FTX, and penning a seven-year deal with Riot Games to sponsor the League of Legends Championship Series.

Crypto firms continue to partner with sports teams.

Earlier this year, Crypto.com struck a deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the world’s leading mixed martial arts organization, becoming its “first-ever global official fight kit partner.” The news means Crypto.com will now have its logo placed on UFC apparel worn by athletes in competitions, as well as clothing worn by their cornermen or women. Apparel manufacturer Venum is also UFC’s existing partner and also has its logo on the fighters’ kits. Crypto.com aimed to gain significant visibility given UFC’s global fan base of more than 625 million people and over 150 million social media followers.
