IBC Capital Chairman Announces The Launch of Afaque Hussain’s Collection as NFTs During Ramadan

Khurram Shroff, the IBC Capital Chairman, has made an announcement regarding the launch of Afaque Hussain’s Collection as NFTs during Ramadan. In accordance with the recent revelations, Shroff is buying the noted creations of the calligraphist as NFTs.

The collection has been listed on Artifya, the Toronto-based curated digital arts NFT marketplace and this is the first-ever Arabic calligraphy collection to be tokenized as NFTs.

As mentioned in the announcement, Khurram plans to make the artwork available to mosques across North America, in commemoration of the month of Ramadan.

Along with being a member of the board of directors of Artifya, Khurram is also a co-founder of the Ethereum GeneSys Blockchain.

It can not be denied that the NFT market has been making notable gains internationally, with gamers and collectors investing millions of dollars in digital collectibles secured by Blockchain.

Khurram Shroff said in a statement:

“We are witnessing a boom in NFTs, and the creation of a digital marketplace that is bringing together artists, musicians, gamers, and collectors, globally.”

In addition to this, Shroff said:

“It’s particularly exciting to be involved in the launch of the first-ever digitally tokenized Arabic calligraphy collection, especially as the NFTs are being created just in time to commemorate Ramadan Kareem”.

The sentiments of Khurram are shared by Afaque Hussain, an artist and calligraphist whose creations are being offered as nonfungible tokens in this distinctive launch.

Afaque Hussain said:

“As an artist, it’s very gratifying to see the latest chapter in the history of an ancient artform being showcased using cutting edge technology.”

In addition to this, Afaque said:

“Arabic calligraphy is inextricably linked with Islamic theology and spiritual expression, so I’m delighted that the digitized versions of my artwork will be shared with mosques across North America, during the holy month of Ramadan.”
