The non-fungible tokens (NFT) frenzy has influenced celebrities and star athletes racing to mint their own NFTs. The latest celebrity to tap the trend is former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh as he launches his very own premium collectibles in partnership with NFT marketplace Colexion.

Yuvraj Singh's First Century Bat Enters Space

Legendary cricketer Yuvraj Singh has officially entered the metaverse with the launch of NFT collection. Allowing his fans to witness some of the historic moments, the premium collection comes at a price of only $40.

What’s more, a hot-air balloon was launched from earth to orbit carrying Yuvraj's iconic 1st-century bat, becoming the first minted NFT ever to be sent in orbit. It also includes a never-before-released personalized video dedicated to all his fans which will be uploaded on Colexion’s official website in the last week of December.

Speaking about his latest NFT collection, Yuvraj, who is also an investor in Colexion, said:

“I am excited to share my first NFT space journey exclusively on Colexion. Connecting with my fans on a new platform like this is exciting and I look forward to sharing some of my most cherished possessions like the first-century bat. I have always wanted to be closer to my fans and I am happy to partner with Colexion to be able to share these precious tokens from my cricketing journey with the people who have loved and encouraged me every step of the way. I look forward to engage with them in my Colexion digital avatar."

Purchasers of the NFTs can enjoy a number of attractions including playing 6 balls with the cricketer himself and winning exclusive merchandise. In addition, a virtual NFT Museum for all of Yuvraj’s NFT collection will be also created.
