Massimiliano Pani, son of Italian singer Mina, plans to create a product with high artistic content that takes advantage of NFT technology.

The famous Italian singer Mina (pseudonym of Anna Maria Mazzini) and her father Giacomo Mazzini in 1967, founded the Swiss-Italian label PDU (Platten Durcharbeitung Unternehmungen i.e., Ultraphonic Record Production). The aim was of creating an artistically and ideologically independent label reality.

It is both a record label and a multimedia studio through which important photographers such as Mauro Balletti and various Italian illustrators have since established themselves.

The label has always been open to technology with the first website in the 1990s, when the web was emerging in Italy, until today with an adherence to blockchain technology.

Mina’s son Massimiliano Pani‘s idea for the label is the following:

“PDU’s goal is to be the place that makes handmade things. The desire is to make a product with a high artistic content. We think these things have a uniqueness.”

This statement of uniqueness is the pivotal reason for choosing to create an NFT multiverse dedicated to Mina.

The approach to the world of NFTs is certainly contemporary and in line with the choices in this area of many artists, among them the famous singer-songwriter Marco Castoldi aka Morgan.

Summary

The OpenSea marketplace with Mina’s NFTs

To collect vinyls, studio-quality analog tapes and digital collectibles with her signature, an NFT marketplace will be created on OpenSea. This is the industry’s reference marketplace and one of the most important in the world, where vinyls, analog tapes and digital works with her signature will be available.

What is OpenSea

OpenSea is an American online non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace based in New York City. The company was founded by Devin Finzer and Alex Atallah in 2017.

OpenSea offers a marketplace that allows people to sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) directly for a fixed price or through an auction, based on the Ethereum ERC-721 standard, the Level 2 scalability solution for Ethereum Polygon, the KIP-7 standard for Klaytn, and the SPL standard for Solana.

Mina’s NFT store: music and illustrations

Items that can be collected as NFTs will be available on the website’s store: the photographic works of Mauro Balletti – photographer who made his debut with photographic portraits of Mina – (for the covers of Mina’s albums Rane Supreme, Canarino Mannaro, Salomè and Veleno) with unpublished images that are transformed into NFT digital works validated by blockchain technology flanked by a video explaining the process of creating the work.

Appearing on the NFT OpenSea marketplace will also be Mina’s first musical NFT featuring two unreleased cover songs: Chet Baker’s Almost blue and Vinicius De Moraes’ Eu sei que voi te amar.

The cover will feature digital graphics created by Gianni Ronco, Mina’s famous illustrator, to whom she has been artistically linked for 30 years. To portray Mina he has used various techniques in the past, of watercolors, tempera and pencil, always representing her with a touch of wonderful imagination, in floral subjects, in the guise of a child and a warrior, almost as if he was extraordinarily able to fix Mina’s voice on the canvas.

In this NFT project, Mina shows that she is as forward as she has been in the past with her artistic and musical gifts: her adherence to NFT technology makes her an iconic and unique figure not only in musical art, but now also in digital art.
