Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to Launch Metaverse Project with Mandopop Superstar Jay Chou

Mandopop superstar Jay Chou released a new promotional video featuring PSG stars Lionel Messi and Neymar hinting at a new NFT drop coming ahead.

On Sunday, June 19, the French football club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) announced that they are launching a new metaverse art project in partnership with Mandopop superstar Jay Chou. 

Jay Chou posted a new promotional video on Instagram which notes “NFT Drop Coming Soon”. The promotional video also features PSG stars Lionel Messi and Neymar. In the video, Chou teases the preview of an artwork that combines Chou’s unique style of design with PSG’s mascot.

Chou is one of Asia’s top pop singers who starred in “The Green Hornet” and “Now You See Me 2”. He’s also among one of the most-streamed Asian artists on Spotify. Chou’s popularity is so huge that his last month’s online concert alone received over 100 million views.

Now, Jay Chou is making a name for himself in the art world. Some renowned collectors have praised his artwork. Last year in 2021, Jay Chou sold his white-glove collection for a staggering $10.7 million, at Sotheby’s. Now, he is willing to collaborate with PSG on a new form of Metaverse art.

PSG expects that its partnership with Mandopop icon will help them extend its reach in Asia. similarly, Chou gets to expand his reach in Europe through PSG. As per reports, Choud is planning to have a concert at Parc des Princes, PSG’s stadium. The press release further adds:

“Chou’s philanthropic endeavors follow his vast enterprises. Over the last decade, he’s dedicated himself to helping underprivileged children. This time, together with PSG, Chou is campaigning to raise awareness and funds for impoverished children through the PSG Endowment Fund”.

PSG Fan Token Sales Skyrocketing

French football club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has been in and around the crypto space for a while. Furthermore, with players like Messi and Neymar being part of the club has helped them attain solid fan token sales.
