The aptly named Sports Metaverse, the first sports-focused metaverse in the world, and top UFC fighter Amanda Nunes announced a partnership, under which Nunes will offer personal training in her metaverse gym, Invezz learned from a press release.
Nunes, who is widely regarded as the greatest female MMA fighter of all time, is a two division UFC champion. The agreement also marks the launch of a metaverse land sale, where users can buy land, trade NFTs, visit stadiums, and interact with sports icons. The presale will open to the public in June.
Uniting the most prominent athletes, brands, and clubs
The Sports Metaverse unites the most-recognized sports stars, clubs, and brands. It was developed by SportsIcon in cooperation with industry veterans from Nvidia, Sony, and more.

Nunes, who will train users to fight in her gym, said:

I’ve made a lot of history in MMA and I can’t wait to have all my pictures and memories of these moments in my gym, so every time I walk in I have a good vibe and be able to train to do even more good things in the sport.
