Newmoon has launched an accelerator program out of the Dubai Design District to provide 360-degree mentoring for startups entering web3 and building in the creative, gaming, and metaverse industries.

The accelerator program comes as the development of Web3 continues to move at a speed of light, with many founders and creators looking for a way to break into the field but are confronted with an array of challenges.

Newmoon’s accelerator aims to mentor developers cut across metaverse, gaming, and blockchain, among other industries. 9 startups have been selected to the current cohort, which has raised more than $10m for the program.

Bitkraft Ventures, Paris Hilton, Meltem Demirors, Kevin Lin, Matthew Ball, RED DAO, LVMH Luxury Ventures and UNICEF are some of the sponsors.

According to Trang Lê Bozon, a Partner at Newmoon Accelerator, the web3 industry needs to be inclusive to founder and creator talents launching new NFT and DAO models with their communities. He said the project aims to simplify entering web3 with a unique program designed by experienced web3 pioneers and vertical experts for technical and non-technical teams.

“Community is everything in web3. As web3 is taking off, the industry needs to include founder and creator talents launching new NFT and DAO models with their communities. We aim to simplify entering web3 with a unique program designed by experienced web3 pioneers and vertical experts for technical and non-technical teams,” he said.

According to a statement signed by Anastasiia Ageeva, the firm’s spokesperson is run by Marina Atarova, alongside former lecturer at UCLA and serial founder Trang Lê Bozon and Christoph Richter long-time startup mentor with two exits under his belt.
