Binance Joins With Another Country to Expand Its Territory

On Tuesday, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the CEO of Binance officially met Alassane Ouattara, the President of West African country, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) to discuss crypto integration. In the interview held at the Palace of the Presidency of the Republic, the President and Binance CEO mainly considered topics regarding economical issues around cryptocurrency access. 

As per the official statement, CZ requested the government of Ivory Coast to integrate crypto activity into commercial exchanges in the country. 

Booming of Crypto Industry In Africa

Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, is striving to widen the acceptance of cryptocurrencies across the globe. The firm is also expanding its activities in African countries, at the time of the blockchain industry rising in the continent. According to Binance CEO, the African continent is ready for the adoption of cryptocurrencies. 

He tweeted:

“Africa is primed for crypto adoption. 10-20% banked. Need financial access and inclusion. Blockchain provides that with a smartphone.”

The African continent is rapidly rising as the major crypto hub in the world. In the last two years, a huge change was seen in the African crypto industry. According to the latest reports, Africa’s cryptocurrency market is currently the third fastest-growing in the world and it is progressively luring significant investments. The usage of cryptocurrencies in Africa increased by more than 1,200% between July 2020 and June 2021.

CZ continuously tries to drive the crypto and Web3 industry all over the world. In addition to this,  Binance recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Securities and Regulator Exchange of Cambodia (SERC) for the purpose of supporting the expansion of the digital asset market in Cambodia. Moreover, Binance is also planning to enlarge its activities in Asia, according to reports.
