After months of lobbying Binance in order to see XRP added as a pair, has paid off for the XRP community as Binance finally cracks and adds the cryptocurrency as a base standard.
CEO of Binance Changpeng “CZ” Zhao confirmed the news via Twitter:
We will be adding a couple trading pairs with XRP as the quote currency shortly.

In a further Tweet, CZ mentions that the exchange will continue to add pairs from projects that participated in Binace’s recent charity drive.
This news comes after a prolonged campaign of requests from the XRP community. Back in November, CZ even addressed the barrage of endorsements by setting the community a little challenge; asking them to Shill XRP.

clearly, it was enough to finally persuade CZ…
As of writing, XRP is enjoying a 20% rise on the 24-hour charts; although the market is showing mostly green across the board, XRP is head and sholders above the rest. This rise is a clear indication that news still moves markets.
