Stephen Bearpark, a former finance director at Amazon, is set to become the Chief Financial Officer of the cryptocurrency exchange, Bitstamp. 

A veteran at Major Corporate Firms, Amazon and Barclays, Bearpark to Add Experience 

On April 21, Bitstamp warmly welcomed their very new CFO through a post on their official website. Bearpark held the position of finance director at Amazon for three years and happens to be very proficient in financial leadership roles, corporate governance, and control functions, the post reveals. As the new CFO of Bitstamp, Bearpark will look over the economic management and the financial growth of the crypto exchange. Before Amazon, he also worked for the financial giant Barclays till 2008. Bearpark will be replacing Edward Kemp, who stepped down last month. 

Booming Crypto Industry Opens New Doors

Bitstamp’s CEO, Julian Sawyer, commented that by bringing the best names from tech, they are looking forward to widespread cryptocurrency adoption. To validate the CEO, Bearpark also emphasized the booming crypto industry and its exceptional growth in the first quarter of 2021. The combined market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies surpassed the milestone of $2 trillion. This event made the crypto market even more valuable than major tech giants, including Apple. 

Bearpark’s Position in the Crypto Exchange Maybe Vital

Bearpark believes that his new position in the crypto exchange will bring the company many significant opportunities to do something pivotal in the industry. Bitstamp has been a very substantial and one of the oldest exchanges in the crypto space. With its current CEO, Sawyer, and its chief operating officer, Sameer Dubey, it is all set to position itself better in the industry.
