The global payment company Paypal is now venturing into crypto-based operations and is said to have implemented new posts and positions to amplify their work scale in Ireland. The company is looking forward to building a new crypto team for its Ireland headquarters which will include a set of fresh recruits hired for leading positions dealing in anti-laundering, compliance, and business development.
The company had previously ventured into crypto-based operations through the formulation of a specialized crypto and blockchain unit which took place last year with an active purchase of Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin. The cryptocurrencies were later sold to US citizens to accommodate and facilitate crypto transactions in a simpler manner.
PayPal later affirmed that the citizens will now be able to make payments using cryptocurrencies straight from their PayPal accounts. Later on, the company announced that the clients will also have access to a system that will allow them to make payments from a third-party digital wallet.
PayPal CEO Dan Schulman has commented that the company’s crypto scale has experienced a tremendous hike and is continuing to forge its way ahead with significant earnings and gains. Schulman further stated on PayPal’s quarterly earnings call last week that the company will now be entering the UK market to facilitate new crypto trading transactions. He also asserted that Paypal is working on including faster payments and processing techniques to accommodate a smooth transactional experience for its users and client base.
