The social media giant, Facebook, is reportedly having conversations with several cryptocurrency exchanges about listing their coin, which could already happen in the first half of 2019.

According to the New York Times, Facebook has been having talks with several cryptocurrency exchanges, which could mean Facebook is getting closer to trading the Facebook Coin on cryptocurrency exchanges.

Apparently the Facebook crypto project is reported to be 'far enough along that the social networking giant has held conversations with cryptocurrency exchanges about selling the Facebook coin to consumers.'

Facebook employees reported to the crypto exchanges that they plan to get a working product out in the first half of 2019.

In December 2018, Chepicap reported that Facebook was developing its own cryptocurrency designed for use within the popular messaging application WhatsApp, confirming the ongoing rumors that Facebook was developing its own token.

Facebook to develop its own cryptocurrency (a stablecoin) for its own WhatsApp messenger.

Morgan Creek founder Anthony Pompliano responded to the news by saying that the highly talented team of Facebook consistently looks to invent and/or grow products that change the world.

'If Facebook is building a stablecoin for WhatsApp, this is less about crypto and more about building a globally dominant product that changes the way billions of people live their lives', Pompliano said.

If Facebook launches the stablecoin they are reportedly building, it will quickly become the most used product in crypto.

WhatsApp has over 200,000,000 users in India alone.

The Indian government has been fighting crypto too so things are about to get very, very interesting...

Obviously Facebook has the reach to introduce cryptocurrencies to hundreds of millions of users, in an instant, and make crypto go mainstream overnight.

Something cryptocurrency enthusiasts have been waiting for in anticipation.
