The Quadriga CX court case continues in Nova Scotia, Canada. An affidavit has now been submitted by the widow of the exchange's deceased CEO, in which she asks to be replaced in her management role due to the unwanted media attention it has brought, as well as her general lack of expertise.

Quadriga CX is currently in the middle of a period in which the exchange is temporarily protected from creditors' claims. Jennifer Robertson, wife of the deceased CEO Gerald Cotten, has been in charge of managing the company's remaining assets and recovering any lost crypto, along with fellow remaining director Tom Beazley.

Many of the assets of the company and the CEO have already been liquidated in order to recover funds, but many observers online have criticized Robertson and suggested that she may be attempting to hide the existence of further assets. Some even believe that the whole story of Cotten's death is a hoax to facilitate an exit scam, although the presentation of a death certificate has gone some way to refuting these claims.

Robertson states in the document that she and Beazley "have no significant experience in the cryptocurrency industry and no experience with an insolvent company". She is proposing that a man named Peter Wedlake be appointed as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) for the exchange going forward. Wedlake is employed by accountancy firm Grant Thornton, which has extensive crypto knowledge including a Certified Bitcoin Professional.

Robertson also expresses her support for the request of an extension to the stay-of-proceedings period, giving Quadriga CX further protection from creditors.
