Leading crypto exchange Bittrex has announced that it will be going offline on February 27, in order to carry out a technology update. Markets and withdrawals will be unavailable for as long as the upgrade takes.

Bittrex's new upgrade will add a number of new features to the trading platform. These include additional fiat deposit options, more order types, account management options and more.

The exchange claims that customers' wallets will be unavailable for up to 24 hours. Trading will be suspended for around three hours, starting at approximately 2200 UTC.

Accusations of possible market manipulation haven't yet been thrown at Bittrex by the crypto community, but we're sure it's only a matter of time. At least one observer is not particularly happy with the exchange.

We're sorry to hear that. We've got exciting updates in store for this year.
