Goldman Sachs Expands Digital Investments, Puts $419 Million Into Bitcoin ETF

Goldman Sachs is expanding its exposure to digital assets, managing $419 million in a Bitcoin ETF, according to a recent SEC filing. The investment demonstrates the company’s strategy to provide clients with exposure to the growing cryptocurrency market through various ETF holdings. The bank’s SEC filing highlights its strong portfolio in several Bitcoin ETFs.

The company’s largest Bitcoin ETF holding is the iShares BTC Trust, which has $238.6 million invested in 6,991,248 shares. This large investment shows the bank’s confidence in the fund. Along with this, Sachs also invested $79.5 million in the Fidelity Bitcoin ETF, purchasing 1,516,302 shares. The bank has invested $35.1 million in Grayscale BTC, adding 660,183 shares to its current holdings.

According to the latest data, as of June 30, Goldman Sachs owned 6,991,248 shares of the iShares Bitcoin Trust ($239 million), 1,516,302 shares of Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin ($79.55 million), 940,443 shares of the Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF ($56.19 million), 660,183 shares of Grayscale. Goldman has also spread its investments across other Bitcoin ETFs. It has $299,900 in ARK 21Shares Bitcoin, representing 5,000 shares. The bank’s holdings also include $56.1 million in the Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF, covering 940,443 shares. Additionally, it invested $8.3 million in the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, representing a total of 253,961 shares, and $749,469 in WisdomTree, representing 11,773 shares.
