Gavin Wood, the Ethereum co-founder, has recently highlighted that cryptocurrency investors need to be more aware of what backs their holdings following the bearish trends that the crypto market has witnessed. They shredded around $800 Billion of its value.

According to Wood’s statement to the Reuters, he would hope that folks pay more attention to what is belying the currency name when they get into a community, ecosystem, or economy. This was when he spoke on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss Alpine resort of Davos.

Amidst the market plunges that we have witnessed in recent times, the gathering of business and political leaders witnessed a lot of crypto and blockchain firms this year.

The Ethereum co-founder was attending the event for the first time to highlight a new collaboration between his blockchain project Polkadot with American billionaire Frank McCourt’s Project Liberty.

He further highlighted that the new partnership is focused on decentralizing control of the web and providing the users with more control of their data.

And that the technology cannot prevent people from committing mistakes but can facilitate the ones who want to understand better the facts of the world on what they are buying.

Given that the cryptocurrency market has witnessed massive changes in the recent months and is constantly seeing bearish trends. Only a few days back, the popular coin of the Terra ecosystem, LUNA, slipped to zero, which shocked everyone in the community.

It has become really important for people to know what move they are making in the highly volatile crypto market.

Ethereum is trading at $1833 with a market cap of $221,715,461,350 and is down by around 7% in the last twenty-four hours.
