Video Game Maker Behind SpongeBob Teams Up With Polygon Studios

Tilting Point, the video game publisher behind popular free-to-play games “Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest," and "SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off." has entered a multiyear partnership with Polygon Studios to launch 10 web3 games.

Three Web3 Game Currently in the Works

Out of the 10 Web3 games that grow from the partnership, the first three titles already in the works namely interstellar strategy game "Astrokings" from Korean developer AN games, which Tilting Point acquired earlier this year; virtual slot game "The Walking Dead: Casino Slots," based on the AMC series; and "Chess Universe," by Tilting Point’s partner developer Kings of Games.

“This partnership will help solidify Web3’s place in the gaming industry, and we’re excited to start developing games that champion user ownership and immersive gameplay,” Polygon Studios CEO Ryan Wyatt said in the announcement release.

A month earlier, Stardust added the Polygon Network into its growing list of blockchain options for game publishers looking to integrate Web3 features.

Publishing Model for Independent Developers

Founded in 2012, Tilting Point uses a publishing model to help independent developers scale their existing games and launch new games through its own studios or select partners. Through this model, the company has released numerous popular free-to-play games including Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest and Narcos: Cartel Wars, and SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off.
