UAE-based boutique technology advisory and consultancy agency DECA4 is teaming up with The HBAR Foundation to support projects being built on the Hedera network in the Middle East.

Founded in 2021, The HBAR Foundation fuels the development of the Hedera ecosystem by providing grants and other resources to developers, startups and organizations that seek to launch decentralized applications in DeFi, NFTs, CBDCs, ESGs, gaming and other sectors.

DECA4 provides an end-to-end consultancy, partnering with organizations in the region to take them from initial ideation, token design and architecture through to their token issuance. As the HBAR Foundation’s only partner in the UAE, DECA4 will provide a vital link to advancing adoption of Hedera’s offerings in the Middle East. Technical solutions and support are provided to Deca4 consulting clients by KrypC, a Hyperledger Certified Solution Provider and Hedera Hashgraph partner.

The agency is currently working with Al Nakheel Jewellers, a global UAE-based diamond retailer to launch its diamond value chain platform on Hedera, which will provide historical tracking from source to consumer. The project will be the first for the region to receive a grant from the HBAR Foundation, which includes access to the foundation’s resources for technical assistance, marketing and business development in addition to support from DECA4.

“As a technology-agnostic advisor, our affinity for the Hedera Network is purely practical. We see real value for enabling new capabilities through decentralized networks and Hedera adds greater efficiencies for cost, speed, scalability and implementation that makes good business sense for the organizations with whom we work,” Mohammed Mahfoudh, DECA4’s CEO. “In the case of our diamond-industry partner Al Nakheel, we see its diamond value chain project and authenticated diamond NFT platform as an amazing opportunity to not only track product for authenticity and through logistics but, also, for adding value for consumers who will be able to learn more about the origin and history of their diamond as it continues to exchange hands into the future.”

DECA4 has several more decentralized projects for the Hedera Network in its pipeline, and is currently working with organizations in real estate, entertainment, government, commodities, and travel.

“We’re pleased to be working with DECA4 on driving adoption of the Hedera Network in the Middle East,” said Shayne Higdon, CEO and Executive Director of the HBAR Foundation. “The agency has great relationships with organizations in the region, a deep understanding of our technology, and clearly defined goals for their partners’ implementations on the network. We look forward to working on more projects together and advancing the Hedera Network footprint in the UAE and beyond.”
