Astar is a smart contract service that allows decentralised applications (dApps) built on blockchain software stacks such as Ethereum Virtual Machine and WebAssembly. It is compatible with the other Polkadot parachains and hosts dApps such as ArthSwap, AstridDAO, Algem, Starlay Finance, Sirius Finance, and Zenlink.

The cooperation, which was announced on Wednesday, allows Astar developers to use SuperNode, Alchemy’s main product, to satisfy infrastructure needs. Essentially, it is a middleware technology that enables Astar’s dApps to remain connected and prevent downtime.

According to Alchemy’s head of product, Rob Boyle, Alchemy’s infrastructure makes it simpler for developers to construct any dApp with infinite scalability, precision, and dependability. “We’re thrilled to combine forces with Astar to foster an era of better web3 building that will power the decentralised applications of tomorrow.”

Alchemy provides its node application programming interface (API) service on Ethereum, Polygon, and Solana blockchains. Popular Ethereum applications like Aave, 0x, Opensea, dYdX, and Nifty Gateway use it for scaling purposes. Alchemy raised $200 million with a value of $10.2 billion in February.
