Bitcoin SV aka Bitcoin Satoshi Vision, the result of the hard fork of Bitcoin Cash [BCH] that happened on November 15, 2018, supported mainly by Calvin Ayre and Craig S Wright, is now a sponsor of an e-sport event in Thailand.

As per the tweet by Hivr, which is a social wallet, secure messenger and tipping platform, Bitcoin SV is now added as a sponsor for Thailand’s biggest e-sport event for Dota 2. Dota 2 is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game [MMORPG], which is infamous for its massive prize pool collection that usually happens for its yearly tournament known as The International.

Hivr tweeted:

“We are sponsoring one of the biggest #esport event in Thailand, so we decided to add #BitcoinSV #BSV as an offical sponsor. We will push BitcoinSV in our native country (Thailand) in every way we can this year #ADOPTION”

The Facebook page for the e-sport event posted a picture with the sponsor of Bitcoin SV and the social wallet, hivr.

Hivr beta was launched on October 22, 2018, as a Bitcoin Cash-powered social media application for Android devices that featured a wallet, native tipping, posting to the social news feed, instant messaging and more.

Having cryptocurrencies displayed on such events would help people notice the currencies and put these on a fast track path to adoption.

Calvin Ayre, a lead proponent in the Bitcoin SV community, commented:

“very cool. I am in Bangkok now also..I have a place here also.”

Litecoin [LTC] logo was recently displayed on the canvas of a UFC 232 fight as it sponsored the fight. Litecoin, as a result, became the first cryptocurrency to enter the octagon and gain widespread adoption by UFC’s millions of viewers.

The same can be said for Bitcoin SV as every year, Dota 2’s “The International” is watched by millions if not billions of people across the world. This could be the first step that could help the Bitcoin SV community gain widespread attention and adoption that it needs.

A Twitter user, @omgbtc commented:

“Sounds dumb, use lightning on the real Bitcoin if you want to get real adoption. Reach out when this falls apart, but in the meantime please take SVs money. Just convert it quickly before for its worthless.”
