Ripple ventures into real world via National Bank of Kuwait; Direct Remit for Jordan activated

According to a local news outlet called Alqabas, the National Bank of Kuwait [NBK] and the leading blockchain fintech firm, Ripple has begun to mutually benefit from the services provided by the RippleNet. Now, the remittance service provided by NBK will have a login dedicated to the RippleNet wherein the customer base will have access to the advanced feature of the payment system backed by Ripple. At present, NBK Direct Remit is available for Jordan.

In the original announcement of NBK on Twitter, it stated:

“For the first time in Kuwait: Send money instantly with NBK Direct Remit. Log in to NBK Online Banking using RippleNet’s Blockchain technology. NBK Direct Remit is currently available for Jordan. “

This is not the first victory touched by Ripple and XRP in 2018. Recently, the company released a series of 2018 breakthroughs where it discussed all its establishments and accomplishments, be it in the form of adoption or in the field of academics, research and development.

From charity to research, Ripple has excelled in all aspects this year. UBRI, which is the abbreviation for University Blockchain Research Initiative wherein several big universities have participated to take the blockchain technology possible. Some of them are UC Berkeley, Penn, Korea University, McCombs School of Business, UCL, Princeton University and many more.

On the other hand, to spread education and for the purpose of social development and financial inclusion, the blockchain company also took an initiative known as Ripple for Good. Ripple recently doled out $25 million that made up for over a hundred million to take the initiative forward. To achieve the expected results, the charity is to mainly focus on STEM [Science, technology, engineering, mathematics].

Here, the bank replied by writing:
