Hyperliquid recorded the highest auction amount of $128,345.67 on December 6. The project introduced a new way to list tokens with a Dutch ticker auction. Its auction takes place every 31 hours and allows users to bid on the rights of tickers. However, some argue that this process will lead to the centralization of the token listing process.
So far, the auction has featured a variety of tokens from memecoins to native tokens of other crypto projects. According to ASXN data, the SOLV ticker sold for $128,000 and brought the total auction amount to $128,345.67 on December 6. This has caught the attention of investors and made them suspect that this could be part of the Token Generation Event (TGE) of the Solv protocol.
Tickers GENESY, WATAR, STAR, HOLD, and RETARD are the next top performers with prices over $87,000, $73,000, $66,000, $33,000, and $25,000, respectively. TRUMP token is also listed at the auction with a price of $28,919. PEPE, PUMP, WAGMI, SCAM, FUN are some of the memecoins listed at the Hyperliquid ticker auction.
