Brave CEO Brendan Eich and Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko announced a partnership in which a privacy-focused browser will integrate support for the Solana blockchain.

The announcement was made as part of the Breakpoint conference by Solana. New features for the mobile and desktop versions of Brave are being implemented by developers in the first half of 2022.

“For billions of people, the mobile Internet will be their gateway to Web3. Deep browser integration is key to helping dapps create better web services,” Yakovenko said.

He called the initiative "an important step towards connecting the next billion users to Solana." According to the press release, the collaboration is a direct result of demand from customers and developers.

The integration will enable users to create accounts, perform cross-chain swaps through the Solana DEX aggregator, send SPL tokens, and also enable NFT support.

On November 5, the Solana (SOL) price renewed its all-time high at $ 250. The asset has displaced Tether (USDT) in the rating by capitalization, taking the fourth line.

At the time of writing, SOL is trading at $ 246. Over the past day, the coin has fallen in price by 2.4%.

In January, the Brave developers integrated support for the IPFS protocol. In February, NFT was added to the cryptobrowser marketplace.

Recall that in March, Brave announced support for the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem.
