Emurgo Releases Tangata Manu

According to a recent blog post published by Emurgo, they have released this open source codebase library for developers and companies. This would allow them to create light wallets and explorers for Cardano.

The development of this solution was based on IOHK’s Icarus. Tangata Manu is also compatible with Shelley, the upcoming Cardano update that would improve its decentralization and add delegation and staking pools to the network.

This is the third product released by EMURGO in just a year after releasing Yoroi Wallet and the Seiza Cardano Blockchain Explorer. The main goal is to increase Cardano’s adoption around the world and bring value to ADA crypto holders. It is worth pointing out that the final development of Tangata Manu was completed using funds from the Cardano Foundation.

Tangata Manu is a fully open source codebase library for developers & enterprises to create their own secure light wallets and explorers for Cardano on internet browsers and mobile devices.

This toolbox imports Cardano blockchain data into usable and customized database storage for products that include ADA light wallets or blockchain explorers.

Nicolás Arqueros, the CTO of EMURGO, commented about it:

“EMURGO is very excited to deliver yet another in-house developed product for the Cardano community. Tangata Manu is a stable solution that has been upgraded over time, and is ready for the public to use and build upon.”

Furthermore, Arqueros explained they have been working very hard to add functional utility to the Cardano ecosystem. They have also released open products that enhance the use cases for Cardano’s ADA and Cardano’s third-generation blockchain solutions.

The goal of EMURGO is to drive Cardano adoption and add value to ADA holders by building, investing in and advising projects in the cryptocurrency and blockchain markets. Through its expertise in blockchain and the research conducted, Cardano would be able to grow smoothly and expand around the world.

The Tangata Manu toolbox was released to the market almost two years after the creation of Cardano.

According to data provided by CoinMarketCap, Cardano is the 11th largest digital currency in the market. ADA has a price of $0.05149 and a market capitalization of $1.34 billion. In the last 24 hours, ADA surged 1.03% and it remains very close to the top 10 cryptos.
