All validators were asked to update to the most recent node version, 1.13.5. According to Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana Labs, which develops the blockchain by the same name, the update should resolve all UDP-based protocol overload-related Solana network disruptions.

This issue has previously resulted in lengthy shutdowns of the Solana network, which is still in the test phase.

Many of the biggest validators in the Solana network, according to Solscan, are still not updated. Only 44.53% of the validators have been upgraded to the newest version.

Despite the significant update, the crypto community still has certain concerns regarding Solana’s performance as a blockchain. There have been a lot of doubts, and the public is showing mistrust in the blockchain given the large data servers’ blockage of nodes, centralised storage, protracted outages, and the requirement for the co-founder to ask validators to update.

When most users are worried about the repercussions of the FTX collapse, the project team shared a snapshot of the health of the Solana network earlier in the week to show the transparency of operations.

The given data indicates that there are currently 2,000 transactions per second. Additionally, the average block time has declined and is at 0.5 milliseconds. The number of daily programs used has decreased due to the decreasing network activity.
