Sui Network From Ex-Meta Employees Launches Its Testnet “Wave 1”

Sui Network, a layer-1 blockchain established by ex-Meta (now Facebook) employees, has announced the opening of its testnet "Wave 1", a location where the sustainability of the system can be thoroughly examined.

Mysten Labs Fundraising Round

The Sui Blockchain's creator, Mysten Labs, earned $300 million in a fundraising round headed by the now-defunct FTX Ventures in September. During the fundraising round, Mysten Labs was also valued at $2 billion. The Sui blockchain's creators introduced Mist units in October in an effort to enhance the network's transaction infrastructure. Developers can continue to utilize Sui's developer network (devnet) to test and create decentralized applications (dapps).
