According to a report by eToro, XRP has joined the ranks of oil, gold, and Apple, in the top traded assets on the platform, even beating Amazon...

The XRP army is out in full force of late, it seems. The report authored by brokerage eToro revealed that XRP is the most traded cryptocurrency on the platform with the highest number of unique open trades at 29,991 in January 2019 followed by Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) citing 26,773, and 25,148 unique open trades respectively.

Oil took the top spot in the overall most traded asset on the platform, with 35,503 unique open trades, followed closely by gold with 32,484.

Just ahead of XRP and almost neck and neck with each other were Apple with 31,767 unique trades and the Nasdaq 100 with 31,683.

The report also relays the platforms total trading statistics with a mere 11.83% of investors in the UK trading crypto in January, compared to the 56.03% of UK based investors trading stocks.

Similar results were exhibited from Germany based investors with 11.20% trading cryptocurrencies and more than half (56.78%) trading legacy stocks.

The report further details the recent move from XRP:

“While there was no clear trend in the crypto market over the past 24 hours, some cryptos were seen higher, including XRP. The crypto, currently ranked 3rd overall by market cap, led the top 10 by registering gains of around 5% (at the time of writing). Despite these recent gains, XRP has not yet erased the losses suffered over the weekend, as it is still down by more than 3% for the week,”
